Velo Club In-Gear

The club was established in early 2007 as an informal ‘virtual’ club but has now expanded and caters for all aspects of cycling from Road Racing, Time Trials and Sportives to recreational riders looking for a weekend ride. 

The club is based in Uckfield, East Sussex and is well supported by the shop from where the club gained its name “In-Gear”. The club sits alongside In-Gear RT - the shop’s elite senior Time Trial team, which includes former maillot jaune Sean Yates and British champion Michael Hutchinson, the In-Gear development squad and the recently formed DFL – In-Gear Road Racing team, who will look to excel in the UK Premier Calendar Road series and other local races.  

The club is affiliated to both British Cycling (BC) and Cycling Time Trials (CTT) as our members actively participate in Road Racing and Time Trial events held in Kent and Sussex. If racing isn’t your scene the club also has fortnightly published club rides that start and finish at the In-Gear shop. Should you want something a bit more why not take part in cycling’s rapidly expanding Cyclo Sportive scene. VC In-Gear members have this year ridden several UK based Sportives as well as venturing abroad to Mainland Europe. 

For the 2009 season the club will be organising a series of “Have a Go” Time Trials in the summer, and will vary between 5 and 10 mile events. The courses used will be held within close proximity to Uckfield.
